RCSU: Alumni Officer (Theta Bearer)

Hi! I am David, a second-year mathematician. As the current External Vice for the Imperial College Mathematics Society (MathSoc), I am responsible for building a productive relationship with our 10+ industry-leading sponsors through prompt and professional communication. Moreover, I was handling the negotiation and administrative process for contracts and organising career events such as the MathSoc Career Fair.

The role has honed my organisation and communication skills significantly, and these are the exact skills that characterise a great Alumni Officer. If elected, I will strive to

Forge strong and productive connections with Alumni through regular emails and meetings. Provide prompt and professional responses to inquiries from alumni and current students.
Organise more career events to support RCSU members' transition into the workspace/academia, such as alumni networking events, mentorship programs, industry workshops, and casual reunion gatherings.

The alumni of RCSU are highly talented and encompass numerous industries from finance to technology. However, from my experience, their engagement with the current students is not as fruitful as it could be. I would like to change this situation and foster a vibrant and interconnected RCSU community for both alumni and current students.
