Adam Bencsik
Mathematics: Vice President
Greetings to all!
My name is Adam Bencsik, and I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for the Vice President position. As a second-year mathematics student and an upcoming summer intern at BCG, I bring a rich background in organizing significant mathematics events. My portfolio includes orchestrating numerous mathematics camps with over 100 participants, conferences, and actively participating in a myriad of mathematics competitions. It would be a privilege to contribute my skills and enthusiasm to our department.
I am keen to implement a well-structured series of networking and socialization initiatives, such as:
- Annual Christmas Dinner featuring special guest professors, fostering an environment of camaraderie and intellectual exchange.
- BrainTank Sessions, where we congregate in groups of 4-8 to engage in deep discussions and debates on a variety of intriguing and creative topics, meticulously prepared beforehand by the session facilitators.
- Boardgame Nights bi-weekly on Thursdays, hosted by 2-4 board game aficionados who will introduce their favorite games to groups of 5-10 participants, guiding them through the rules before embarking on a series of entertaining rounds.
Career Advancement Initiatives:
- Organize career fairs each term, announced well in advance, to bridge the gap between the rigorous world of mathematics and the dynamic sphere of finance. My aim is to actively assist mathematics students in overcoming the challenges of gaining recognition in the financial domain.
- Foster collaborations and strengthen ties with other mathematics communities across Europe, including prestigious institutions like Oxbridge, to broaden our network and create more opportunities for our students.
