The amount of Coursework deadines Shritik and I have nearly missed because we've been doing something IndianSoc related- volunteering at JB, rehearsing for EMW, or thinking of a good name for the Republic Day Ball-is insane. The more we think about it, though, the reason we say yes to participating in every single IndianSoc event is because there's nobody else we'd rather be with than our giant, warm and crazy IndianSoc family!
Taking part in MumsnDads, JB, EMW, Utsav, and closely working in the Subcommittee for the whole of this year, I've gained invaluable experience helping organize, publicise and manage virtually all IndianSoc events. Also, as Head of Events at my high school, I was responsible for planning and executing events through the year that attaracted over 500 attendees. From our school's science fair, which was the city's largest, to musical concerts and inter-school sports tournaments, I was responsible for ideating and organising all these events and I am confident that I can put those skills to good use as VP.
Apart from taking existing events to the next level, we promise that as VPs we'll put in place newer events- maybe a formal dinner at Dishoom to get everyone's tuxes and ghaghras out? Bollywood dance off nights with UCL and QM to show them that obviosuly we're better at everything than they are or just a quiet chai samosa and antakshari night in SAF-G16, anything you wish for is our command:)
We hope to be your next VPs soon!
