Izmal Mohammed Farroukh
As I reminisce about the events I have joined throughout my first year, I realise how vital ICUMS has been. It was daunting to step foot into unfamiliar territory barely knowing anyone; fortunately, the freshers’ camp was there to initiate lifelong friendships. It was draining to listen to lectures and revise non-stop; gratefully, MNight was there to wind us down. I feel the warmth and comradeship just seeing and conversing with fellow Malaysians. It indeed feels like a home away from home.
I am running for President as I am certain my skills suit this role best. I am currently the Events Officer of Engineers Without Borders, Sustainability Officer of the Chemical Engineering Society, and Secretary of the Petronas Scholars’ Association. Therefore, I am confident that I understand the essential elements that make up a society.
