Miren Oliver Laskurain

Hey everyone!!

We're Miren and Begoña, second year Biomedical Engineering students, W1 players and current treasurer and social secretary of the basketball society. We're very excited to step up and lead the Imperial Basketball Society as co-presidents next year.

Basketball has been a huge part of our lives for as long as we can remember, and our time at Imperial has only deepened that love. We've found a real sense of belonging here, made great friends and had an absolute blast, both on and off the court. Being part of the committee this year has been a learning experience, but with the amazing support from the rest of the members, we've enjoyed every bit of it.

Looking ahead, we want to keep the momentum going. That means keeping the competitive teams strong, offering recreational options for all skill levels, and of course, organizing some killer socials. Let's show those rookies that we're not only great shooters but we also dominate tube olympics and intense vroom-vroom-skrt rounds at the union!! And let's not forget about the Paris tour, which is always a highlight of the season!

But we can't do it alone. We need your ideas, your feedback, and your enthusiasm to make next year a success. So don't hesitate to reach out and share your thoughts. Together, let's make next season even more memorable!
