Ngoc Anh Nguyen

Hello! My name is Anh and I'm the current treasurer of ArtSoc. So far, I've ensured smooth financial transactions ranging from purchasing tickets to overseeing administrative responsibilities and ticket sales. I've also maintained ArtSoc's financial health and secured grants for next year.

My experience working with the committee has been incredible, and I hope to continue the successful running of our society. Here are my aims:

1) Increase affordability

Tickets for most shows will be capped at £40 with the help of grants, while pricier shows will be heavily subsidised. Wherever possible, I would like to introduce tiered pricing, offering the choice of lower-band seats for a cheaper price.

2) Cater to diverse interests

To address the interest in plays and certain musicals (i.e. niche ones or those with high costs), I would like to incorporate trips for smaller groups of 10. In addition, I'm keen to explore Cirque du Soleil shows and musical films at the cinema alongside our usual line-up.

3) Increase opportunities to watch shows

Termly polls will be collated to better gauge numbers and repeat viewings of popular shows will be held, just in case you couldn't make it.

4) Revive Spring Tour

Our annual International Spring Tour hasn't been done post-Covid, and planning this from scratch was challenging. With our current streamlined core processes and some internal organisation I would like to improve, I'm looking forward to making a head start on this.
