Hey everyone, my name is Shritik and I'm running for BioSoc Treasurer.

I believe that finance is an integral component of any well-running society and great events. This is why I think treasurer is an incredibly important role and that I am the ideal candidate for it. Firstly, coming from a business family background, I have learned the basic requirements for managing finance such as handling a balance sheet. This has allowed me to meet the prerequisites for the role and be able to carry it out without difficulty.

Furthermore, I was the Head of Finance for my high school science magazine for 2 years. This role required me to source sponsors for the magazine, an important skill for the role of treasurer, and to ensure that the magazine met its budget year-on-year. I managed to handle both of those role descriptors well and sourced the largest single firm sponsor in the history of the magazine. These skills are not just useful from a committee member's point of view, but also from a society member's aspect. My capabilities mean that BioSoc can source more funding and be able to host bigger and better events for all of you.
