Thurston Blount

Hello cavers, my name is Thurston, and I am a dedicated member of the club (ignoring last year hush) who would absolutely love to join the committee as Junior Treasurer next year. Ever since I first stepped foot into Swildon’s two years ago, and definitely almost drowned in sump 1 (I was underwater for 30 seconds), I couldn’t stop myself from coming back to caving.

Specifically, this role is my first choice. I believe out of any of the roles within the club, I can commit to this the easiest, whilst still enjoying it. Managing the club’s money is something I would like to learn a lot more about over the upcoming year, and even though I may have given up maths last year in pursuit of more rocks (yum), I will dedicate myself to making sure everything is running as smoothly as it can.
