Arav Bhattacharyya

Hi, I'm Arav. I've been part of ICMC for almost 3 years now and have been a regular enjoyer of the climbing community and its events, so I have gotten to know many people in the club. I started climbing when I was 14 in Sheffield in the peak district, and I am mostly a boulderer. I am running for secretary as a way to give back to ICMC and help keep it running smoothly next year, hopefully allowing even more people to get involved with the club's activities.

As secretary, I will be in constant communication with the rest of committee to help run events, manage stores and most importantly spread information. I want to make it easy for everyone to find all the whatsapp chats, know when committee will be at stores, and know well in advance when things are happening. I would also like to organise a merch order next year and to start advertising climbing events running around London, such as competitions, workshops and sales people may not otherwise hear about. With a spot on commitee, I would also be in a great position to help organise WONCE - an overnight charity climb at westway that ran a couple of years ago and was a lot of fun. I have great organisational skills, and experience on committee for RAG already, so will be able to co-ordinate all relevant information in regularly scheduled emails.
