Hi!

As many of you would agree, social events in a society can play a very important role to enhance your experience of studying, especially in a course that can be stressful at times. As your potential Social Secretary, I am committed to organising social events of various scales, both within the department and collaboration with other departments and societies, to create positive experiences for all the members of the department. Whether you are a party animal or more of a fan of quiter events, there will be somethin for everyone.

There have been well-received events from the past years and I plan to continue running if I get the position, though I will not stop coming up with new ideas for events just because the existing ones are so good already! I plan to introduce new events and would be open to suggestions as well, here are some ideas:

• annual events such as Physoc Boat Party and Christmas Dinner will be continued
• more organised social with other departments, both within and outside of the RCSU
• night-out to clubs in London and pub crawls
• fun tournaments such as sports tournament, chess, e-sports, Mario Kart, etc., with other departments — in a friendly manner of course! ;)
• collaborations with other societies, for example physics-themed quiz night with quiz society, etc.
• pizza budget! More free food
