With experience as the captain of both a badminton and cross-country club during my college year, I am confident in my suitability for the role of Sports Officer. Currently an active member/player of the IC badminton club, I have contributed to hosting several successful inter-university competitions, honing my skills in event planning within Imperial's sports landscape.
My vision for Msoc sports community is one of inclusivity and vitality. I aim to broaden our offerings by introducing new sports disciplines, providing members with a diverse range of physical activities to enjoy. Through enhanced consistency in our weekly sports sessions and collaboration with other IC sports club, I intend to offer specialized training opportunities to our members, fostering both skill development and camaraderie.
Continuing the tradition of participation in inter-university competitions like the Nottingham and Warwick Games is a priority. Moreover, I plan to organize termly mini sports tournaments/events to encourage active participation and facilitate connections among members who share common interests.
Recognizing the importance of integration, I propose an annual sports day during the first term to unite freshers and existing members, fostering a sense of community, and belonging. By nurturing inclusivity and fostering connections, we can build a stronger, more cohesive sports community within Msoc.
I hope to work towards building a stronger, more inclusive, and vibrant sports community within Msoc. With your support, I am confident that the above can be achieved.
