As someone so passionate to play badminton and will override any responsibilities of work to play a game, becoming women's captain of ICSM would be an honour for me.
The experience I gained as a surrey County player through u14 to u19 would help me in organising practise sessions, and selecting the correct skill mix teams for future competitions . I'd take charge of arranging games as well as playing each player to their strength as I did when captaining some county matches. Having competed in badminton England tournaments and several local tournaments, I was able to perform well, winning my matches this year as the women's singles no 1.
I believe I use tactics to my strength while playing which as captain is something I would impart to teammates to help analyse and improve their game between sets and in the longrun. As a captain I would ensure that all interested players will get fair representation in the team, in line with the equality, diversity and inclusion in imperial college. I believe I can spread good competitive spirit, and help achieve the unified goal of the team to succeed in this tier and to reach the next tier of the bucs league.
I will always be a captain who supports, encourages and is proud of the team no matter the outcome, maintaining the wellbeing of my players at all cost. ( by going out for food after matches obviously).
Lastly, badminton isn't just a sport. Its my personality :D.
