Evan Zhang

Hi, I'm Evan, a third year medical student and I will be running for Treasurer of Fashion & Design Society for the upcoming year!

This marks my first year in the society, an experience which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Having attended several workshops and events throughout the year, I have consistently felt welcomed and at home as a part of the society. Being able to contribute to this environment directly as a member of committee is something I would value greatly.

As the current acting Treasurer for the ICSM Badminton society, I have extensive experience in managing society finances through managing claim requests and budgeting. Through this role, I am also very familiar with the ins and outs of the eActivities platform, working with the student union and most importantly, the annual budgeting process.

Formulating the annual budget each year can be incredibly time consuming, thus first-hand experience with this will prove valuable in providing smooth running of the society, as the annual budget can often be a burden to not only the Treasurer but other committee members as well.

Additionally to this, I hope to use my experience in managing finances to assist in smoothing running and organisation of the Charity Fashion Show, thus allowing other members of committee to take more time to work on the show itself and ensure a memorable experience for everyone involved.
