Angela Song
UNICEF: Vice Chair
Hi all,
My name is Angela Song, and I am a second-year biotech student. I am running for the position of Vice Chair for UNICEF because I am passionate about making a positive impact in the world, particularly for vulnerable groups such as children.
If elected, here are the initiatives I intend to pursue:
- Launching events such as workshops, seminars, and campaigns with experts, activists, and policymakers to educate and raise awareness about the critical issues affecting children today
- Organizing more engaging fundraising activities like pot-luck dinners, pub quizzes, and movie nights to support UNICEF’s vital work
- Expanding our influence beyond monetary contributions by offering meaningful volunteer opportunities, including local community service projects, campus outreach activities, and international volunteering opportunities with UNICEF partners
It is imperative that we address inequity now. By 2030, if we don’t take action, 60 million children of primary school age will be out of school, and 69 million children under age 5 will die. Let’s work together to create a more equal world, a better world for all children! Thank you for considering me for the role of Vice Chair of UNICEF :)
