Shivit Kapoor

I am Shivit Kapoor and am running as a candidate for DocSoc Events Officer. I am currently the Head of Project Management at Imperial Junior Solutions, and I pledge to harness my project management acumen to enhance our society. With a keen focus on diversity and innovation, my goal is to curate a calendar brimming with mentorship, workshops, debates, and competitions that resonate with every one of us.

DocSoc is undoubtedly the best society at Imperial, running multiple events throughout the year, ranging from tech speakers to bar nights and hackathons. As Events Officer, I want to improve this further and propose a year-round calendar of events that cater to all interest and skill levels. Some include Mentorship Programs, Workshops, Tech Debates, and Coding Competitions.

The highlight of the year for us is ICHack, which is the biggest student-run hackathon in Europe. My primary goal is not only to continue this tradition of excellence but to enhance it, making ICHack 2025 the most phenomenal yet. I intend to leverage my project management expertise to enhance engagement and create better incentives for volunteers.

An effective society thrives on the participation and feedback of its members. I will be committed to being a listener and doer. Regardless of whether you are a first-year or PhD student, your input is invaluable.
