Areeba Lalani
Assalamu Alaikum! My name is Areeba Lalani, and I'm a first-year biologist from Bahrain, but originally from Karachi. Moving abroad is always challenging, but PakSoc has helped me feel at home here and eased the transition, which is why I want to join the committee and support those who are in a similar position while, at the same time, furthering PakSoc's vision.
In my capacity as Pakistan Society Events Officer, I am wholeheartedly committed to curating vibrant and inclusive events that honor our rich cultural heritage and nurture unity within our community. A key initiative is forming a subcommittee focused on organizing Shaam. This approach expands the Society's reach, attracting more members and enabling the main committee to focus on hosting inclusive social gatherings.
With my previous experience as the Director of my School's Charity Debate in 2022, I developed strong organizational skills by coordinating various aspects of the event, such as scheduling, venue arrangements, and participant registration. Additionally, I cultivated effective communication skills by liaising with participants, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the events. I am confident I can leverage these experiences to organize successful and memorable events for the Pakistan Society, contributing to its growth and success.
Through our collective efforts, I aspire to introduce innovative events while prioritizing inclusivity and representation. I am honored to be given the chance to contribute to Pakistan Society and hope that you will consider me.
