Michelle Wang

Hello, my name is Michelle. It would be a privilege to be considered for the role of Secretary.

I'm motivated by the values, goals and work that MSF has done and would love to support MSF and raise awareness of MSF's work as an acive member of the society. The core humanitarian values held by MSF and the commitment to provide care to the most in need regardless of one's gender, race, religion or any other affiliation is deeply moving and inspiring. I would like to help run the society smoothly to help achieve the targets of the society and contribute to MSF through fundraising, increasing community engagement, and making a difference in a meaningful way.

Throughout my gap year and academic journey, I have gained a diverse range of experiences and skills that I believe make me well-suited for this role. This includes providing clear and effective communication, working collaboratively with members of the team, time-management, organisational skills and decision-making that I’m confident will help me become a good fit for the role. I have a clear understanding of the responsibilities associated with the Secretary role and the tasks that I need to do such as organising appropriate meeting times and locations, keeping meeting minutes and facilitating communication within the society.
