Hi everyone! I'm Tejas and I'm running for HinduSoc VP this year! Apart from being the hyper excited personality at all HinduSoc events, I'm the one who stomped on everyone's feet during Garba, and the one who was stressing about whether we should chant the hanuman chalisa once or thrice during the Ram Aarti!
As an active member of the subcommittee, I have gained invaluable experience planning and executing Hindu Soc events. I was in charge of planning the Ram Aarti that happened in January. From coordinating the location of the event, to designing the social media content to panicking about where the Ram Murti would come from, I loved each second! Also, as Head of Events at my high school, I was responsible for planning and executing events through the year that attaracted over 500 attendees. I look forward to using the experience this gave me planning inter-school sports tournaments and my passion as an avid marathoner to elevate the society's involvement in the sporting arena, engage with newer sports and teams and win more tournaments!
I also hope to only to elevate the current HinduSociety events such as the Diwali Ball, Holi and Garba but also introduce new ones- who can say no to some delicious kheer and rabdi on Janmashtami? I also aim to engage more with the communities around us, raise funds for charity and increase opportunities for Seva that is so integral to our faith.
