Bethan Fox

Hey guys, I'm Bethan, a 2nd year materials student. I would say you might have seen me out on the waves somewhere, but i usually spend more time being washing machined than above water.

I joined surf in freshers as I knew it would have lovely chill people, and I'm keen to pay the good experience forward by helping to organize unforgettable trips and spreading the surf society love to even more students :)

Having spent the past year as secretary for my departmental society, I'm well versed in the joy of society admin and would love to transfer this to surf. Hopefully it means I can indulge in much groovier - but super informative - emails! I also spent a year working in a government lab where I feel like my life turned into risk assessment after risk assessment, so I'm sure I'd enjoy writing some slightly funner risk assessments with surf.

Having been to St. Ives, Newquay, Portugal, and France, I've got a solid grasp of how our society runs, making handover super easy. More importantly, I want to keep those future trips just as epic.

So, why vote for me? Well, if you're into seeing the palest ginger surfer alive on your committee, and having someone who knows the struggle of being more washing machined than on the wave, I'm sure we'll get on well :)
