I’m Zoe and I’m running to be your President this academic year.
Witnessing and embracing the remarkable opportunities presented by WSET this year felt surreal and beyond my imagination. Not only do I feel I belong in WSET’s community of empowered and strong female students but driven to contribute more by becoming part of the committee.
Having worked as Vice President of the Finance Society, I have gained a lot of experience in how to manage, organise and get things done. Working closely with the committee this year, I have learned what is needed in maintaining and running a society, and I believe that I have the ability and the motivation to serve as the president of next year's committee. My commitment to making all careers inclusive for women is unwavering. I understand the unique challenges of this journey, especially being part of Scotiabank's UpLIFTED: Women in Finance Development Programme.
As your future President of WSET, I am committed to:
- Having more collaborations with other societies
- Hosting workshops, networking events, and talks with industry professionals to provide members with valuable insights and connections.
- Promoting mental well-being by providing stress management resources and encouraging a balanced lifestyle
- More social events - such as Winter Balls and formal dinners.
I'm excited to serve as your President, dedicated to creating a more supportive environment for everyone.
