Hi everyone! I’m Shen, a first year BMB student running for Treasurer for Biomedical Society.

I’m a committed, responsible and detail-oriented individual with a genuine desire to play a part in running the society, contributing to its growth, and providing the best possible experience for every BMB student. Events are at the heart of our society, they’re where we can learn cool things, meet awesome people, and enjoy ourselves, so my goal is simple: let’s make more of them happen!

If elected, I will:

• Carefully monitor society funds to evaluate the viability of society events.
• Ensure finances of the society are managed effectively and transparently.
• Collaborate closely with other committee members to maximise resources available to deliver as much value as possible to BMB students, through the organisation of a range of social and academic events that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our members.
• Be highly receptive to all feedback, constantly improve my approach to ensure the needs of members are met.
• Look for additional sources of funding so more events may be hosted.
