Hi everyone! I'm Tejas. I'm sure many of you have seen my many panic filled messages on the biology group chat a day before coursework deadlines! I've been an active participant in biosoc events through the year.I believe that I can help make biosoc and our events more fun, innovative, productive and diverse this coming year. As Head of Events at my high school, I planned events like our annual science fair (the city's largest), musical concerts and sports tournaments, and I am confident my experience will stand me in good stead as VP!
As your vice president, I aim not only to increase the frequence of current events- such as Pub quizzes (which I really enjoy), socials, balls, but also introduce new events- a formal dinner to put on those tuxes and dresses and get to know everyone, trips to the Aquarium (only one with a tiger shark in the UK!), the NatHistory museum overnight stay, or maybe, just maybe something more adventurous like a game of never have I ever with Ste? I also look forward to introducing more academic events such as talks and seminars with people from various areas within the biological sciences to broaden our understanding of interesting areas in the field. My experience as science writer with Felix gives me ample connections to have experts both from Imperial and outside to interact with us.
As always, I am happy to answer any questions or just chat! I look forward to being your VP soon:)
