Being part of FYP for the past academic year, it is not an overstatement when I say that I love Funkfam. As vice president, I would like to see us flourish further by accomplishing two main goals:

1) Building an inclusive community via transparent communication within the committee and cultivating a supportive and positive team spirit. This stretches from the organizational aspect all the way to having ~good vibes~ in classes.

2) Emphasizing the importance of knowing foundations and culture of each dance style through shifting the focus towards encouraging growth as dancers, especially for competitive teams.

As someone who has been in the dance scene for 15 years, I want to offer the experience and knowledge I’ve gained from competing internationally, performing in the commercial industry, leading a dance team and working backstage to make Funkology slay even harder.

Having met such a lovely collective of people through Funkology promises me great successes for the society in this coming year—I’m very excited.
