Rhianne Henderson

Hi all,

I’m Rhianne and I would love to join WSET committee next year as your open days manager. Throughout my academic life, I have spent a lot of time helping younger students and inspiring them to pursue a career in STEM. Having been part of my schools leadership team that ran and organised school open days, networking events and charity/academic events, I know I have the skills required to excel in this role. Encouraging the future generations of women in STEM is something that I am incredibly passionate about, and in this role I would come up with new and innovative ways to do this. Some of these could include:

• A mentorship scheme with young girls in schools and members of WSET.
• Online engagement portals so that girls in areas further out of London can still be inspired!
• Organising in person days with a range of students to either further or ignite a passion for STEM in young girls, and designing creative, fun activities to do this.

I have loved coming to events with WSET this past year, and know the impact that it has had on me and will continue to have on other women starting there careers in STEM, and I would really love to be a part of this. Please vote for me!
