Jin Tao Zhang

Hi! I'm Jin Tao, and I hope to be your next Vision secretary!

Having volunteered for Vision in the past, I'm fully behind the work that Vision does and keen to get more involved. I have been a part of helping prospective medical school applicants through mentoring and interview preparation, as well as being involved in coordinating and leading group projects. Hence, I am able to bring in my experience in managing time effectively, working in teams, and collaborating with others towards a shared goal – all of which I believe are essential for this role.

In this position, I aim to provide support and ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the society, allowing the president and other officers to focus on broader strategic initiatives to further support those interested in pursuing medicine. I plan to make this happen by:

• Managing official communications, including emails, letters, and reports, on behalf of the society.
• Coordinating logistics for society meetings, such as booking rooms, as well as ensuring all necessary materials are prepared.
• Assisting in organising and running events, which could involve tasks like booking venues, securing speakers, and promoting the event.
• Taking accurate and comprehensive minutes of all society meetings, including motions and decisions.
• Acting as a point of contact for members with any questions or concerns, and potentially being the main point of connection to Vision for others.
