Xitian Zhao
Women in SET: Junior Treasurer
Manifesto for the Junior Treasurer:
I am Xitian, a student studying Mathematics with Statistics who is also passionate about business. With a passion for giving back to our society, an opinion on the potential improvements for the current society, as well as a particular interest in budgeting and transaction handling, I was motivated to run for this role.
If I were given this precious opportunity, I would stand at the forefront of fostering an inclusive and vibrant organisational culture. Guided by this manifesto, I commit to championing the following principles:
- Budgeting and Financial Planning: I would work closely with other members of the leadership team to forecast income and expenses, allocate resources effectively, and ensure financial sustainability. I would commit to maintaining accurate financial records.
- Transparency and Involvement: I will establish open communication to actively seek members' feedback on our budget priorities and financial decisions to ensure that our funds are utilised in ways that benefit the entire Women in SET community. I will also present our financial transactions to our committee and society members regularly to keep everyone informed.
- Compliance and Responsibility: I would ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements relevant to the Imperial Union's standards. I will uphold the integrity of the Women in SET society and maintain good standing within Imperial College London.
Please do vote for me, and let us embark on a journey of connection, collaboration, and growth, creating a thriving community that enriches the lives of all who are part of it!
