Sabrina Cruz
Hi everyone! My name is Sabrina Cruz, I’m a First Year Medical Biosciences Student running for Junior Treasures in the Women in SET society.
It can be very difficult choosing your career but having events such as “Insight into …” lectures and Q&As with a plethora of different organisations and companies, help students form their professional ambitions and career choice. These events provide knowledge, insight and aid to all women who are students at Imperial, to help them achieve their goals, aspirational and academic. In the position of Junior Treasurer, I wish to provide more of these events to undergraduates in a wider variety of sectors to give students a better insight into the vast number of jobs they can pursue in the future.
As someone who is very ambitious, goal-driven but also uncertain of her career path, I know that I will be able to play a major role in the committee team and help in the financing side of creating events that will truly help women at Imperial. Furthermore, as I am currently tutoring whilst studying, I have developed my organization, time-management and communication skills. These skills, amongst others, would help me in this role to fulfill its requirements and carry out the best possible work to benefit you all.
Thank you for reading my manifesto, I hope that through it you can see that I would make a great addition to the Women in SET society as the next Junior Treasurer.
