Jasmine Fung

Hiiiii! I’m Jasmine Fung, a second-year Biochemistry student. And guess what? I love MTSoc and have loved being on committee this year so much that I’m running for equipment officer again!

Why should you vote for me to be equipment officer again? Well, because I love my job, know my job, and I do my job well (I hope). I’ve been very organised this year, always making sure meet-ups at the costume cupboard run smoothly, contracts are sent and signed, and that no costumes or props are lost or damaged.

One of my goals this year was to bring back the MTSoc Kettle, and have been chasing the Union for PAT testing, but unfortunately they were not organising any, so it will become a main goal for next year. Another main goal for next year is to organise the ”floor scene” on the costume cupboard.

As equipment officer, I will continue dedicating my time to ensure that the costume cupboard is clean, organised and locked when necessary. I have also enjoyed getting involved in costume duties of the shows alongside performing, while helping out other societies with their costumes. Having been a part of committee this year, I now have much more insight into how the society functions - I will continue to offer my opinions on any issues, while physically and emotionally supporting my fellow committee members with any problems, such as with the summer music video (which I hope will come soon).
