Jason Dick

Hey everyone! Jason here, your current Chair of the Imperial College Rail and Transport Society. I must admit, being the Chair of a society as active as the ICRTS is a lot of work, but I’ve enjoyed every second of it. In fact, I’ve enjoyed it so much that I am pleased to announce I am running for this position again next year!

The Rail and Transport Society has a special place in my heart. It has finally given me a space to pursue my burning passion for transport alongside a group of diverse, like-minded transport enthusiasts. I ran for a position in the committee last year because I wanted to ensure that ICL’s transport community can continue to enjoy this space and the events we deliver. I was so devoted to this mission that I upgraded my candidacy from Events Officer to Chair on the floor of the AGM last year. I maintain that this was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Under my leadership this year, the ICRTS saw numerous improvements, from updating our society profile and constitution to adding new committee positions and launching our Alumni Network. Above all, we have managed to continuously offer a wide range of exclusive events.

My mission for next year remains unchanged. I promise to continue rolling out improvements in the society, acquiring even more exclusive events, and incorporating your suggestions and feedback to ensure everyone’s voice is heard!
