Hi!

My name is Fatima, and I am a second-year biochemistry student. As someone who has been actively involved in this society, I am keen to serve as a secretary and help society members excel in finance. I am highly organized, and I want to support this society in becoming an interactive space for aspiring and current members. I understand the importance of connecting with professionals for guidance in early career stages. Therefore, I will collaborate with the incumbent leadership and our membership base to understand the needs and requirements of members regarding career opportunities and personal development.

I am currently on the committee for the South Asian society and seek to expand on my current experience to serve our members in the best way. Therefore, I am motivated to effectively communicate the best opportunities for our society members to fulfill their aspirations of working in the finance industry.

I intend on doing so by:

• Keeping members up to date on all events via the newsletter which will be routinely circulated
• Enabling effective communication within the society by aptly responding to enquiries and suggestions made by members
• Staying connected with all committee members to ensure successful running of events through a record of meeting minutes
• Actively reflecting and improving on members’ suggestions to ensure progression of society and satisfaction of all members
• Cultivating an engaging and collaborative environment to make the coming year mutually beneficial
