Shen Li
Hi everyone! I’m Shen, a first year BMB student running for the Core Committee Member for Immunology Society.
Immunology is a field that I have developed a keen interest in over the last few months, and I’m excited to explore immunology further during my time at Imperial. At the same time, I wish to use this opportunity to play a part in running the society and contribute to its growth.
I’m motivated, resilient, and eager to learn. My involvement in organisation of charity events throughout Sixth Form, including fundraising for charities and food bank collections have developed my ability to manage time efficiently, and cope with problems under time pressure, such as absences of team members or technical difficulties. These experiences built on my ability to work smoothly within a team, and communicate clearly and concisely, through both verbal and written communication.
If elected, I will:
- Collaborate closely with other members of the committee (e.g. assist conference lead with organising and running conference, assist academic officer with tutorials, help publicity officer to increase social media presence).
- Be present at social and academic events to ensure they run smoothly.
- Ensure as many events are relevant to both BMB and MBBS students as possible.
- Be highly receptive to all feedback, constantly improve my approach to ensure needs of all members are met.
Thank you for your consideration, I’m excited about the possibility of working with all of you to make some great things happen and bring our society to the next level!
