I think it's fair to say I’ve had a lot to learn about netball over the last 2 years with RSM and I’m really excited to continue this with such an amazing team. I even learned how to do odds and evens! If that doesn’t show commitment I don’t know what does. One of the most important attributes I can bring to the role of Vice Captain is attendance. My uni schedule is very flexible so even if your Captain cannot attend a training session or match for any reason, I can say with confidence that I will be available. As a recreational team It's really important for us to appreciate and celebrate all our members so its important to consistently chose an internal player of the match. I would also like to introduce some additional recognition in both matches and training for things like ‘best interception’, ‘shot of the match’ or even something like ‘best sequence of passes from center to goal’. Lastly, I would like to use the role of vice-captain to jazz up the training sessions. We have an entire 20h playlist that just isn't utilized enough. I think it could maybe be fun to do more aerobic, Zumba-like warmups to make sure we’re ready for training, especially for all our non-running enthusiast, me included. Most of all, I just want to make sure that this club remains as fun, supportive and encouraging as I have found it to be.
