To my beloved fellow Malaysians (and non-Malaysians),

Have you ever wanted to go to that restaurant you keep seeing on instagram reels? Or go to the dog cafe you and your friends keep talking about? GOOD NEWS! Voting me as your future events officer can make whatever you want happen. All you have to do is ask.

As events officer, I aim to:

• Strive for maximum inclusivity and efficiency in event planning.
• Continue and make necessary improvements to existing staple ICUMS events.
• Increase collaborations with other university MSocs to see old friends and meet new Malaysians.
• Work closer with other cultural/non cultural societies e.g. MSoc x SingSoc social at Malaysian restaurant.
• Collaborate closely with other events officer to produce two documents:
  • Word document: continuously pump out ideas for outings and events, hop on any new trends that may interest ICUMS members.
  • Excel spreadsheet: calendar of events continuously updated to provide clear structure and to avoid rushing and last minute decisions.
• Manage whatsapp polls, all new events group and "submission form"
  • New whatsapp events group provides chill space for members to discuss event ideas.
  • New submission form provides convenient method for suggesting events, encouraging inclusivity of members.

• Valentines event
• Traditional Malaysian games & quiz night
• More buddy family events
