Hi!! I'm Jacqui, and I'm running for the position of industrial relations officer.

Is networking scary? Do you have no idea what your future holds? Me too!! But it doesn't have to be that way.

My previous experience organising a science conference has given me valuable skills liaising with industry professionals and making things happen, traits that I will utilise well as an industrial relations officers. I plan to provide everyone with opportunities to explore their personal interests, and be exposed to new chemistry careers. I will invite speakers targeted to your interests, communicate industry and internship opportunities, and curate careers fairs with a broad range of industries. You will be able to develop your interpersonal skills and improve confidence navigating the professional world. There are so many talents within our community, and I would love to make use of my own organisational capabilities and real-world experiences to bring down the daunting barrier between university and the professional world, encouraging you all to be the best you can be.
