Maria Al-Sibaai

Hi! I'm Maria, a first-year student in Economics, Finance, and Data Science at Imperial. I've thoroughly enjoyed the events by the Effective Altruism Society and am eager to give back.

As treasurer, I would focus on transparency and inclusivity, ensuring our financial resources are used effectively for our events and everything that makes our society special. I'm here not just to manage funds, but also to enrich our collective experience and community. I believe my experience in finance, since I started studying accounting in IGCSEs, which gave me the skills to start generating and managing financial statements in both corporate and small-scale settings, would make me a good candidate for this role. Studying finance at Imperial has further expanded my skillset and would make me a suitable fit for the role.
