Women in Business: Secretary

Hi! I’m Saachi, a first year Geophysics student and I would love to be the next Secretary of ICWIB! As a STEM student, I am passionate about bringing together female students as we support each other in developing business-mindsets that will help us pursue our unique career paths. Having gained invaluable experience and skills in leadership, teamwork, organisation, and project planning through various roles, I believe I would be an excellent fit for this role.

Why me?

As the editor of my school newspaper, I aspire to increase engagement with the members of ICWIB with consistent newsletters that keep people informed about upcoming events and simultaneously motivate them to get involved
A Secretary of my Student Council, I also developed essential admin skills that I will apply in ICWIB - from note taking and keeping track of emails to organising meetings and communicating effectively with different audiences
From being president of my Student Council, I am good at managing a team, creating agendas and organising meetings, and adhering to project deadlines
I’m very approachable, I love talking to people and hearing new perspectives, and I can effectively lead group discussions!

I’m looking forward to collaborating with the committee to organise more networking and workshop events, giving students insight into corporate systems while developing the relevant skills.

I also love getting and replying to emails which is a bonus as a Secretary so I’ll definitely be on top of communication!
