We are submitting a joint application for Captain of Salsa and Bachata.

As one leader and one follower, one bachatero and one salsera, we are the perfect combination for this role.

As Zach spends more time dancing than on his degree, he has great relationships with London's DJs opening more opportunities to bring our incredible routines to the people of London. This complements Loveday’s 2 years' worth experience in running teams as open-level captain and now as current team captain to allow our teams to have more opportunities for workshops, performances and funding.

An essential part of the teams’ success is how close they are and hence we want to take an active role in organising team socials to foster friendships to help make the training environment more fun without compromising the standard of the choreographies.

We recognise that the costumes this year were sub-par. It is critical that we not only look incredible but feel comfortable in them. Therefore, we are planning to change how we source our costumes and want to involve the members of each team in the decision making for what they wear.

As some know, we are currently lobbying for a Nando’s sponsorship for the teams. We will continue to work for this and are also planning to contact other companies to help our dancers get cheaper access to their dancing essentials.

We have many other exciting plans which we will happily talk to everyone about in person.
