Belle Pugh

Hi ! I'm Belle, I'm currently a third year Biology with French student and I'd really love to be your campaign manager next year! I am really passionate about ecology and conservation and doing as much as we can to protect our beautiful planet. I have really loved the campaigns this year; I feel using Ecosia is such an easy choice to make with such fabulous benefits and both Take a waste and reducing lab waste are extremely important for a university focussed on STEM to ensure as little waste as possible.

I am determined to keep pushing forward with these campaigns and to tackle others too, both campaigns focusing on empowering people personally and as a collective. I would like to campaign for a document adding additional clauses to the 2021-26 Imperial sustainability policy. It would include clauses ensuring the consideration of sustainability in as many desicions as possible, a meat-free day one day per week, presence of food compost bins in all cafeteria areas and higher biodiversity promotion on college grounds. Similar campaigns are in progress in many universities across the UK, including by Durham Climate Society and I would love to bring this to Imperial too. I will do my very best to make Imperial as green and biodiversity loving as I can during my time in post.
