Carolina Moura Bento

Hi everyone! My name is Carolina, I am a BMB student and my goal is to become a biomedical researcher.

I am applying for the role of BMB representative as I consider myself a good candidate and I would be able to ensure SORA’s events were tailored to all ICSM students, ensuring the participation and engagement of both BMB and Medical students in the society's events and activities.

Currently, as BMB representative in SORA' subcommittee. I am helping organise a BMB focused event. For such, I have been reaching out to BMB graduates to recruit speakers, and getting feedback from my peers from first, second and third years, as to ensure we are able to provide an event relevant to all student groups. This has been an amazing experience and I am extremely excited for the opportunity of keep doing this as BMB representative in the SORA committee.

Therefore, I consider myself a great candidate for the BMB representative role as I feel that not only my skills but also my enthusiasm would enable me to have a positive impact both on the society, but also on the organization of events. I would love to have the opportunity to actively engage with this committee and take on this new challenge.
