On the 9th of December 2023, at 6:30 AM as Shritik and I made our way through the cold rain as "Volunteers" to help out as JB, neither of us would have thought that soon enough we'd be running to be heads of the event that had made us leave our warm, comfy beds this early in the morning.
As an integral part of the Subcommitte helping out on the day of the event, I was able to get a taste of nearly every part of the JB experience- coordinating team arrivals and turnnarounds, helping with the Tech Run Through, accomodating rehearsal requests and managing the audience, I had more fun than I thought I would. Competition aside, I enjoyed meeting people from Unis all over the country and that is something I can't wait to organise from scratch this year! As Head of Events at my high school, I was responsible for planning and executing events through the year that attaracted over 500 attendees. Organising events from our school's science fair, which was the city's largest, to musical concerts and inter-school sports tournaments, I realised I get my energy from the people around me and getting them together and JB is the perfect avenue to channel all that energy!
Also, Shritik says he knows a guy and can get the afterparty organized at Ministry if y'all vote for us so I hope that's also some incentive:)
See you at the show!
