Fatima Nasir
Women in Business: Head of Internal/Alumni Relations
Hi!
My name is Fatima, and I am a second-year biochemistry student. I have been actively involved in the society for two years now and I am excited to stand for this position to help society members excel in the business world.
Why me?
- I am currently on the committee for the South-Asian society and I am keen on building on my experience in event planning to provide similar experiences for society members to further their career ambitions and bridge the information gap for application processes.
- I was also on the committee for charity week at imperial to host their annual auction dinner and therefore have organisational, event planning and time management skills.
I understand the importance of connecting with women who have similar goals and ambitions and understand how rewarding guidance can be during the early career stages. This motivates me to arrange the best opportunities for our society members to fulfill their aspirations of working in various industries in London and beyond.
I intend on doing so by:
- Furthering the mentor scheme to connect society members with alumni working in a field they are interested in exploring
- Holding alumni panels to provide insight on different career paths and opportunities
- Collaborating with other societies to hold engaging events to ensure everyone can explore the vast amount of opportunities they can avail
- Cultivate an engaging and collaborative environment to make the coming year mutually beneficial
Thank you for reading my manifesto and I hope to represent you next year!
