Hari Prabhu
Hello everyone! I’m Hari, a second year medic running for SORA Social and Networking Secretary.
I believe I am well suited to the role, having developed my communication, teamworking and organisation skills in my role as deputy BMA rep this year, where I also managed the social media pages. I also took part in the Young Enterprise scheme, where I developed my leadership skills and led my team to win best Journey Award at the South London finals.
I’ve always been interested in academia and research, being one of the key reasons I chose to study medicine. Attending many conferences such as the oncology and SORA conference further developed my interest in research, and my passion to contribute to the exciting new advancements in medicine such as STEM cell and biologics research.
I would love to foster a strong learning and collaborative environment both within and out of the society. I strongly believe in giving my all to any responsibilities that I have, and being Social and Networking Secretary for SORA is no different.
I would help promote the usage of social media and platforms such as linkedin, as these are often vital for networking and CV building, which are key aspects of becoming a successful academic or researcher. I will ensure that I promote the society to the best of my ability online, and advertise the events well, to reach out to everyone and make the society events the best they can be.
Thank you for your support!
