Hi everyone!

I am running for the position of Welfare officer as I believe in the importance of providing support among our community which is accessible to all members.

As a current social secretary I have found it rewarding developing relationships with others and bringing awareness to our events and opportunities. With my experience I can help new members of the committee and provide support in their transition. I would love to also provide further as a welfare officer, offering guidance to those that are struggling, as there is a lot of pressure put on us here at Imperial.

I want to create a safe environment where people feel comfortable to reach out and ask for advice and support whenever they need, no matter the circumstance. Wellbeing and mental health is extremely important and I would be an advocate for each individual, to be with you every step of the way.

We are such a large community from many walks of life and this should become a strong support network for anyone facing challenges be it discrimination, financial worries, or academic stress. We will always be there to provide support and offer routes/people to talk to regarding your situation.

I believe together we can create an inclusive community, providing a support bubble in which we can celebrate our rich culture in a positive atmosphere.
