Oli Fraser
Sailing: Sponsorship and Alumni Officer
Dear Sailors,
Its Oli here, your outgoing Race Captain. I hope I speak for you all when i say it's been a great year going to some great events. It's been my biggest aim get you beautiful guys and gals sailing at every oppoortunity and even though the role I'm standing for is different, I don't plan on changing that attitude!
My plans for this year are as follows:
- Strengthen existing relationships with sponsors (Training with Steve, RTYC keelboating, QM keelboating etc).
- Continue the search for new sponsors (tiger-balm???).
- Form closer ties with our network of Alumni (which leads me on to...)
- Create a new "Standard Operating Procedure" on how we deal with Alumni. We have many people graduating this year and through our time together at this club we have formed a close family. I'm sure I speak for you leavers when i say that you don't want to lose that. Over the last few years we have had close ties with Alumni however this has been largely due to interpersonal relationships between them and people they know who are in the club. As the people who have those contacts start to graduate themselves they take those relationships with them. I want to put a stop to this. This includes: Alumni socials (outside of the Castaways competition), Scheduled Alumni Training and many more! I will also oversee the organisation and carry-out of co-alumni-student events.
I want to put "Alumni" back in to Sponsorship and Alumni Officer!
Sailing Love xoxo
