Hi, I’m Ishan and I’m running for the position of Hindu Society Advisor.
Why am I running?
I feel that currently, HSoc is too detached from its membership in terms of taking feedback and suggestions on events, and in responding to Queries in a timely manner. The events and enthusiasm from the committee are brilliant, but more could be done to involve the wider society and listen to their concerns. (Rishi pls stop airing us) My past experience includes being a school prefect and a Lifeguard, both roles where I've dealt with implementing feedback from the community.
What Would I do?
As HSoc Advisor I would advise the rest of the committee on what your concerns are, and, using both mine and your inputs, on how these can be resolved. I’d do this using Feedback forms after every HSoc event in order to understand how the committee can improve its events in the future, and through the creation of a dedicated email address for Queries, to improve the organisation of and time with which the committee responds to queries on all topics. I’d work closely with the Events Officer and Social Secretary to achieve this.
A vote for me as Advisor to the committee is a vote to allow all HSoc to have a say in society events, and to allow clearer communication between the committee and everyone else.(vote for me pls i need smth on my CV)
