Arushi Maheshwari

Hi, I’m Arushi, a first-year medic and I’m thrilled to run for the Hindu Society Events officer. Since the very first Garba night to the Grand Soneri Ball, Hindu society events have consistently exceeded my expectations and never failed to make me feel at home. I have met some of my closest friends and made amazing memories at these events and I am dedicated to carrying forward this legacy.

Why me?

• I am a good team worker! As part of the HSoc Kho-Kho team, I understood how much this society values teamwork and team spirit and I believe I have these attributes
• I have a lot of experience in leadership roles, as EMW dance choreo and in my school student council where I organized several cultural assembles
• I plan on increasing HSoc’s reach by planning new and diverse events like kite-flying for Makar Sankranti and a Janmasthami aarti
• I will ensure all our events are inclusive and accessible to people less familiar with our culture and work towards lowering ticket prices
• I manage my time well and you can rely on me to handle event logistics seamlessly
• I will keenly accept feedback and suggestions from society members, work hard to hard to promote HSoc’s culture and values and give the people exactly what they want!

I love to dress-up, dance and meet new people just as much as anyone else, and will work hard to make next year’s events better than ever before!
