Aimee Laisathit
Hi! My name is Aimee, a first year Bioengineering student, and I am running for treasurer for Imperial Marrow. I would love to use my skills and experience in making a difference, and I believe they will be an asset to the committee.
I have long been involved with charitable projects at school; most relevantly, I founded and ran a volunteer-based project to help support the mental well-being of young long-term hospital patients. I believe that as treasurer, my role is to manage the society’s finances responsibly and with integrity, in order to ensure our money is put to the best use possible — specifically in the context of Marrow, this translates to saving lives.
I promise to work to optimise our financial resources using cost-effective problem-solving and efficient communication, but also be analytic and strategic with spotting financial opportunities and investments. I am naturally a detail-oriented and thorough person, which comes in handy when dealing with spreadsheets and specifics. I will take utmost care to ensure our financial records are up-to-date and accurate, which will ensure transparency and aid decision-making within our society, whilst making sure we stay in good financial health and our spending reflects the goals and purposes of Imperial Marrow.
I am excited for the impact we will make this upcoming year, and I look forward to working with all of you as part of Marrow!
