Esha Saha
Hey everyone! I'm Esha and I'd be thrilled for an oppurtunity to run as your Conference Chair for Haemotology Society in the next academic year!
Haemotology is one of the only specialities that intersects with almost every other medical speciality; the interdisciplinary nature allows the integration of knowledge across multiple fields to solve complex medical challenges. The systemic nature of blood and blood-borne diseases and the underlying immunological basis of the condition is what fascinates me.
As conference chair I will strive to curate a programme that showcases the cutting-edge of research within the field from experts, fosters intellectual exchanges via student led discussions and facilitates networking oppurtunities via social events. To ensure representation from all sub-disciplinaries of haemotology, the conference will include under-represented minorities within the field including patient voices that encourage rich scientific discourse from a holistic standpoint. I also plan to prioritise initiatives that give budding early academic researchers, within our university, the chance to showcase thier work with oppurtunities for further collaborations and mentorship schemes. Additionally, recognising the potential of AI in clinical medicine in the future, I aim to organise a session dedicated to emerging technologies and data-driven digital health solutions that endeavour to make our work in the ward easier.
I would be beyond grateful to be given the chance to organise the Haemotology Conference and collaborate with the team to use our existing networks to bring fresh experiences to our attendees next year.
