Hey guys,

My name is Song and I would love to be your next vice-president!

As a first-year student, I found the haematology lectures to be incredibly useful, especially when lectures were confusing and the many red blood cell tutorials were not recorded. As a second-year student, I taught haematology to the first-years, which I found very fulfilling as I could share the way I learnt it and breakdown difficult concepts. I hope to be further involved in planning and executing the logistics and to expand and promote the society.

My goal is to increase the number of haematology teaching sessions for lower years, as well as introduce more exam-style question sessions that focus on explaining the answers to difficult questions. I hope to increase the promotion and awareness of the haematology society by introducing more responsibilities, conferences and events.

In the past, I have been involved in administrative roles, where I contacted and liaised with external companies to arrange visits, and fundraisers, hired service providers for a carnival, arranged catering, rented venues and contacted various speakers. I also have experience in using Canva (pro version) to design thumbnails, GIMP for photo editing and Premier Pro for video editing. I believe these skills will help me in coordinating and executing tasks, as well as build teamwork with my colleagues. I am open to any more feedback, ideas and changes!
