Hey everyone!
I’m Utkarsh Jetly, and I’m excited to announce my candidacy for the position of Events Officer at the Royal College of Science Union. Here’s a sneak peek into my plans for an baller of a year ahead!
1. Diverse and Inclusive Events:
Our student community is a tapestry of different cultures, interests, and backgrounds. My goal is to create a calendar packed with diverse events that cater to everyone. From cultural festivals to science talks, and from themed parties to wellness workshops, there will be something for everyone.
2. Interactive events:
I want to make our events more interactive and engaging. Think live demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and interactive panels. Essentially, events that are entire experiences.
3. Collaborations:
I’ll work closely with clubs, societies, and other RCSU officers to ensure our events are well-coordinated, meaning more joint events, bigger audiences, and more opportunities for everyone.
6. Focus on Wellbeing:
Events should also promote wellbeing. I’ll ensure a good mix of social, academic, and wellness events. Whether it’s a chill movie night, a high-energy dance party, or a mindfulness session, we’ll have a balanced calendar that supports your overall wellbeing. I'll also include regular shoutouts to our fellow achievers!
